General director of the company, which presents “Səba” products, Zakir Azimov shared with last eight month outcomes

The attention paid in the country to poultry meat market and generally to safety and quality of poultry meat products is being further increased lately. Having this in mind, we met with Zakir Azimov, general director of “Devechi Broiler” open joint-stock company, the one of the leading broiler companies of the country, which gained consumers’ confidence in this field for years.

Having emphasized the great importance, which is always being attached to quality and opinion of consumers about “Səba” products, Z.Azimov noted that in view of quality standards being applied in the company over recent years, the emphasis has been put on measures to ensure food safety.
It is third year the International ISO 22000 standard started to be applied in the company for this purpose and safe food production activities carried out over the past period have been highly appreciated by specialists of authorized agencies. We hope that based on results of the efforts made, our company will obtain ISO 22000 International standard certificate of conformance in 2010 as well.
Having mentioned in one of recent interviews about upcoming substantial increase of “Səba” product range, Z.Azimov clarified this matter as well. According to him, today there is a great need in expansion of assortment of “Səba”, which once introduced to the market turned to be the famous product of Azerbaijani families. Such need is backed up both by consumers’ purchasing power and numerous surveys and marketing researches: “Expansion in near future of the range of products offered to consumers by “Devechi Broiler” OJSC, which always put emphasis on a quality, will be achieved with the help of commissioning of the company’s deep processing department”. Semi-finished goods and various ready products made of hen will be produced at this department and will be offered to buyers.
It is suitable for this occasion to say that all types of products consumed by population are currently imported from abroad due to absence of local production.
Our question we asked Z.Azimov about situation in “Devechi Broiler” OJSC during global economic problems was responded as follows: “Over past five years from adoption of the State Program on social and economic development of regions, the economy of Azerbaijan has developed very fast and “Devechi Broiler” OJSC has also contributed to such development. Poultry meat production in the company in 2008 reached 8400 tons, and volume of sales totalled 8100 tons. This year, production is planned to be brought to 9400 tons, which makes about 30 percent of the poultry meat produced in total by republican’s poultry enterprises. During past 8 months, 6400 tons of poultry meat was produced in the company, out of which 6100 tons were sold. For the relevant period of previous year, this figure was 5400 tons. In spite of global economic problems, during this period our company managed to obtain high economic performance.
At the same time, I would like to note that primary purpose of the whole “Devechi Broiler” OJSC staff is to bring quality of produced products to the highest requirements’ level and therefore continuously justify confidence of the buyers in our products”.
